Shipbuilding and marine sectors have been given great attention as national key industries, and traditional manufacturing businesses are evolving to integrate with high technology (machinery, environment, energy, automation). Top-level engineers who are able to take active actions for required technologies are needed. The division of marine engineering is a futuristic division that educates students to be capable for operation, designing and development by offering courses on application of high technologies for shipbuilding and marine businesses.
The purpose of the division of marine engineering is to train students to be competent engineers with skills and knowledge required at work sites and for research, such as expertise in mechanical fusion, material engineering, green ships, and marine automation.
