This program aims to develop human resources trained in the management of marine resources in the country. Emphasis will be given to the practical and theoretical knowledge of a comprehensive marine science that covers biological oceanography, physical chemistry and geology. Current issue relating to marine science such as marine resources development, environmental impact assessment, pollution and its policy will be one of the main focuses. The program also has the advantage of practical training in the sea where UMT has sufficient oceanographic equipment to make it happen.
Undergraduate in the program of Bachelor of Science (Marine Science) must go through a specific study period which is 6 semester before being a graduate that hold the degree in the field of Marine Science. At least a total 125 credit hour must be completed in that 6 periods.
