The OPITO approved Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Further Training (Twin Fall) course allows twin fall coxswains the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and actions they are required to take that cannot reasonably be practised offshore.
Prerequisites
In order to complete an OPITO approved Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Further Training (Twin Fall) course, delegates must hold:
- A valid and in-date offshore survival training certificate (BOSIET or FOET)
- A valid and in-date OPITO Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Initial Training certificate or equivalent recognised certification

Learning outcomes
Delegates completing an OPITO approved Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Further Training (Twin Fall) course will be able to;
- Disembark and transfer personnel from a totally enclosed motor propelled survival craft (TEMPSC)
- Launch a TEMPSC
- Maintain communications
- Maintain safety of personnel and a TEMPSC
- Move a TEMPSC to a safe area
