The Post-Graduation in Renewable Energies and Environment aims to give graduates, in different areas of engineering, skills in the fields of waste recovery and treatment and the production of energy from renewable sources and that are alternatives to more traditional sources, namely, fossil fuels. The aim is to present an integrated and multidisciplinary view of the two subjects in order to be able to provide consistent and evolved technological and scientific responses to the growing need of modern society, its institutions and industries, to develop and apply clean technologies to treat its waste and to produce energy from alternative sources to fossil fuels.
Learning outcomes
- treatment of urban solid waste (MSW) and biomass
- environmental monitoring
- fuel cell and hydrogen technology
- photovoltaic systems
- wind systems
- water systems
- energy rationalization systems, such as co-generation and improvement of energy efficiency in office buildings, factories, among others
