The Marine Science, Safety, and Environmental Protection (MSSEP) major takes environmental sciences to applied and practical levels.  MSSEP prepares students for a wide range of rewarding professional careers, on land and at sea, with many companies and agencies.  The MSSEP curriculum blends two related environmental disciplines, 1) environmental health and safety (EHS) and 2) environmental protection.  The program's breadth of coursework and practical experiences ensures you'll successfully transition from college to a career-track job.  An amazingly diverse array of career opportunities exists in this field.  There are pressing needs for professionals to work on global challenges such as environmental degradation, diminishing natural resources, increasing energy demands, green and sustainable development, climate change, and ever-increasing safety and environmental regulations.
