This training is part of a series of courses offered by Mari4_YARD, an EU funded project that leverages the potential of Internet of Things (IoT), mobile and ubiquitous ICT tools, and robotics to develop user-centric solutions for flexible and modular manufacturing and thus implement a novel connected shipyard.

This training activity shows how to proceed with 3D scanning technology to have an accurate and evaluated data about the production progress and the accuracy of the works done. Also shows how to detect differences between the 3D model and built reallity in order to run 3D model modifications when necessary and give instructions on not finished installation when a collision due to a inaccurate installation is detected.

Topics:

  • Introduction to 3D scanning technology
  • Use of specific software to detect collisions and inaccurate installations
  • Use of specific software to accuarte measurement of the work progress

Note that the training is synchronous, and participants can join both online and on-site.
