Major of Naval Architecture and Ocean Systems Engineering

Despite its short history, the shipbuilding and ocean engineering industry of Korea has demonstrated remarkable growth. Today, Korea's technology of ship design and construction is the best in the world. The division teaches knowledge and technology of design, production, and performance analysis of ships and offshore structures. The division aims to educate the world-class creative human resources in the field of shipbuilding and ocean industries. Recently, thanks to the designation of "Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation (LINC)" sponsored by the Ministry of Education Science and Technology and “Offshore Plant Education and Research Advanced Center(OPERA)”, etc, the division will advance further, resulting in a better employment rate and an improved quality of education. In addition, the division collaborates with industries to develop an integrated curriculum, thus promoting private-public partnership.
