Prerrequisitos
TMR4220 Naval hydrodynamics
Resultados del aprendizaje
- Knowledge about the theoretical and physical basis for viscous flow around ship and other marine structures based on Navier-Stokes equations.
- Knowledge about when turbulent flow matters and how it can be modeled. Basic knowledge about the theoretical basis for analysis of lifting surfaces that are applied in marine technology.
Skills:
- Be able to develop numerical tools for viscous flow and lifting surfaces that are relevant for marine structures.
General qualifications:
- Be able to develop theoretical models for new types of ships and other marine structures where viscous and/or lift effects play a dominant role.
