This undergraduate program gives students the opportunity to study a diverse curriculum in the ideal location of Galveston Bay, which offers the chance for endless hands-on field and lab work. The courses are tailored to give students a solid foundational knowledge while allowing students to pursue their specific interests within this popular field. Students will have a plethora of options for electives, which can even allow them to pursue biomedical or veterinary degree programs. 

This highly sought degree allows students to couple the instruction from world-renowned professors with limitless hands-on opportunities. The coursework builds quickly from the basics, allowing for students to use a strong science foundation as a springboard into some truly fascinating elective courses to suit individual interests.

    • Home-schooled students must submit a complete, official transcript through their junior year/6 semesters which includes grades earned for all completed coursework.
    • If your school does not rank, a school profile from the high school must be provided along with your transcript and Texas A&M will assign a class rank based on reported GPA.
    • High schools designated by Texas A&M as non-ranking may provide a numeric class rank for students in the top 10% only. All other students will be assigned a ranking by Texas A&M. Please note: An applicant’s class rank assigned by Texas A&M may be different from his or her rank had it been reported by the high school.

Prerrequisitos

Required Coursework

  • 4 years of English
  • 4 years of Mathematics - Three of the courses must be Algebra I, II and Geometry
  • 4 years of Science - Two courses must come from Biology I, Chemistry I or Physics I
  • 2 years of the same foreign language
    • American Sign Language is acceptable and will satisfy Texas A&M graduation requirements for all Bachelor of Science degrees.

Students who do not meet the minimum required coursework as outlined by Texas A&M must meet the college readiness standards as defined in the State of Texas Uniform Admission Policy.
