This course introduces you to statistical experimental design and experimental methods used in social sciences as well as economics, science, technology and medicine. You will learn how to design- and conduct experiments, and analyse data generated from experiments.
The course gives you knowledge about several kinds of experiments, such as one factor experiments, randomized blocks, Latin squares, 2k-factorial experiments, and split plot experiments. The theory presented is exemplified with a large number of applications. You will learn how to choose adequate experimental designs for different types of problems and situations and to analyse data generated by factorial experiments by using analysis of variance.
Prerequisites
90 ECTS credits in Statistics or equivalent. Swedish upper secondary school course English B/English 6 or equivalent. Information about entry requirements on universityadmissions.se
