This undergraduate program gives students the opportunity to study a diverse curriculum in the ideal location of Galveston Bay, which offers the chance for endless hands-on field and lab work. The courses are tailored to give students a solid foundational knowledge while allowing students to pursue their specific interests within this popular field. Students will have a plethora of options for electives, which can even allow them to pursue biomedical or veterinary degree programs.
This highly sought degree allows students to couple the instruction from world-renowned professors with limitless hands-on opportunities. The coursework builds quickly from the basics, allowing for students to use a strong science foundation as a springboard into some truly fascinating elective courses to suit individual interests.

Prerequisites
Required Coursework
- 4 years of English
- 4 years of Mathematics - Three of the courses must be Algebra I, II and Geometry
- 4 years of Science - Two courses must come from Biology I, Chemistry I or Physics I
- 2 years of the same foreign language
- American Sign Language is acceptable and will satisfy Texas A&M graduation requirements for all Bachelor of Science degrees.
Students who do not meet the minimum required coursework as outlined by Texas A&M must meet the college readiness standards as defined in the State of Texas Uniform Admission Policy.
