Learning outcomes
•Characterize the properties of Electric Vehicle (EV) lithium-ion batteries, how they compare to other fuels, and the associated safety mechanisms.
•Identify the most typical formulations of lithium ion batteries;
•Identify the aging factors of lithium ion batteries and their life cycle;
•Characterize the charging and discharging methods of EV lithium ion batteries
•Identify the electrical risks associated with the handling and interversion of high voltage lithium ion batteries, adopting the applicable safety procedures;
• Diagnose the general condition of the batteries, in the various operating parameters, in view of the new use
• Test each of the battery cells individually and replace them if necessary
•Build a lithium ion battery bank to store photovoltaic energy from EV batteries
