Objective

The aims of this course are by theoretical and practical training to give the participants the basic knowledge and skills to act safely and take the correct preventive actions in all aspects of offshore operations from shore to installation vessel or WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) and vice versa - both during normal operation and in a given emergency in an offshore wind energy environment.

Target Group

The GWO Sea Survival is designed to provide personnel with the basic skills that will enable them to work in a safe manner in the wind industry and to meet emergency response training requirements for personnel new to the wind industry. It is designed to accommodate personnel working offshore.

Prerequisites

Delegates may weigh no more than 124 kg due to the weight limitations of the equipment used during the course.

Examination

Delegates will assessed according to the learning outcomes by means of direct observation and supplementary oral questions where appropriate.

The assessment is to be conducted by practical based on the WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) environment.

The validation period for this module is 24 months.

Course is conducted at RelyOnNutec Belgium training centre at Ostend.
