humidity and air purity. Courses offered by the department cover advanced theories of thermo-fluid engineering such as thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics as well as professional knowledge in refrigeration, air-conditioning and low temperature engineering.

In addition to these, the department is now focusing on the utilization of reusable energy such as solar, wind and wave energy, etc.

The main purpose of education in this department is to give students the ability to design refrigeration and air-conditioning systems and various types of energy systems.

Employment can be secured by the graduates of this department in various types of industry.

Refrigeration facilities, home appliance companies, shipbuilding companies, engineering companies, research institutes, governments of cities and the nation and companies related to energy and environment are only some examples of organizations that need graduates from the Dept. of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineering.
